Appreciation

As an integral part of the Imperial Palace in the Ming and Qing dynasties, the world cultural heritage, the Chonghua Palace is the only existing physical remains of the ancient “imperial domicile” in China and an important carrier of the Qing imperial court culture. However, the Chonghua Palace was almost never open to the public and is unknown to the world. This special exhibition selected 88 pieces/sets of collections from the Palace Museum, with more than 200 pictures. The four main groups of buildings in the Chonghua Palace building complex were displayed successively, allowing visitors to perceive the profundity and richness of history in original appearance even if they are in Chengdu. At the same time, the exhibition also conveyed the values of important spiritual civilization embraced in the palace, such as “taking pleasure in learning from others’ kind deeds for self-improvement” and “never forgetting the loved one”.
