Shown in the exhibition were 261 exquisite bronze wares with distinguished characteristics which were unearthed in Sichuan area, especially in the Chengdu Plain, the Guanzhong Plain and the Hanzhong Basin. These exhibits not only fully represented the development level of bronze civilization in the Chengdu Plain, the Hanzhong Plain and the Guanzhong Plain from the Shang and Zhou dynasties to the Warring States Period, but also showed their unique status in the bronze civilization in ancient China. What’s more, it’s the first time to elucidate the depth and breadth of cultural exchange between the south and north of the Qinling Mountains from the aspect of bronze civilization. Meanwhile, the exhibition interpreted the important role of “Qin and Shu roads” (roads connecting Sichuan with the outside) which started from Chengdu in the south in the development process of ancient Chinese civilization.
