As the first original temporary exhibition held by Chengdu Museum utilizing its own collection resources, this exhibition presented the wood carving statues in Chengdu Museum's collection to the audience for the first time. The exhibition raised the audience's awareness of protecting such cultural heritages while visualizing the wood carving statues. For a long time, the protection and research of wood carving statues in China have been relatively weak. The exhibition not only showed the artistic and cultural values of traditional wood carving, but also aroused the attention of the society to Sichuan wood carving statues of the Qing Dynasty.
